Aqeel Sandhu, M.D., F.A.C.S. is a Harvard-trained Cardiothoracic Surgeon whose post doctoral training included the honor of serving as Professor Sir Magdi Yacoub’s Senior Registrar at the Royal Brompton Hospital, London, UK. After serving at the Royal Brompton Hospital, the leading Cardiovascular surgical program in Europe, he joined the department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Sandhu is board certified in both surgery and thoracic surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He currently directs Cardiothoracic Surgery at Mercy Medical Center, a top rated heart hospital in Canton, Ohio.
Mike Burke has over 35 years in the health care industry. Mr. Burke’s career includes 10 years in domestic and international management positions at Scientific Products, American Hospital Supply Corporation (now Cardinal Healthcare). Mr. Burke was one of the founders of the Health Care Products Division of Picker International, which later became Source One. In 1995 he joined AccuMed International as group president and was key in taking AccuMed public. Then in 1999 Mr. Burke arranged to acquire the microbiology assets of AccuMed International, founding TREK Diagnostic Systems. In 2006 Mr. Burke successfully arranged a high value exit to Magellan Bioscience. Mr. Burke currently sits on a number of boards providing advice to middle market companies, is a founding board member of Medical Growth Fund, LLC and is President-Elect of the North East Ohio’s Chapter of the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
Timothy Seekely has 24 years of healthcare sales and executive management experience in various diagnostic and medical device markets. Prior to joining Cryothermic Systems, Mr. Seekely was a senior executive overseeing global sales and marketing with Immco Diagnostics. Additionally, he spent 11 years with TREK Diagnostics as Vice-President of Business Development and previously, Vice-President of Sales for North America. Prior to TREK, he spent 9 years with Picker International in operations, sales and sales management. Tim brings considerable experience and success in capital equipment and consumable sales, product introductions, and business development activities including international distributor management, national group account and IDN management. Mr. Seekely received his BS in Operations Management from The Ohio State University.
Brian J. Seitz, Esq. is an entrepreneur with direct healthcare experience and several years of experience working with start-ups. Prior to co-founding Cryothermic Systems, Mr. Seitz was an attorney in Northeast Ohio for seven years where he focused on civil litigation representing individuals and corporations as plaintiffs or defendants in tort and business cases. Mr. Seitz has extensive experience in contract litigation and management of complex cases.
